55-gallons Of Struggle...

Hello, fish experts! I am excited to say that I am finally in a place where I can comfortably upgrade to a 55 gallon tank. However, I have a dilemma. My current 29 gallon tank holds an adult angelfish, pearl gourami, female betta, 5 guppies, 6 skirt tetras, and 6 peppered corydoras. I know, it is a bit overstocked. There is no aggression, stressed colors, torn fins, or fin-nipping. Ammonia, nitrite, and all disease have been gone for over a year now. Anyway, I was thinking of buying the 55 gallon, and adding all of my fish into it. On top of that, I really would like to get a couple new and interesting fish that I wouldn't have been able to have in a 29 gallon. Would this he possible, or would my 55 gallon still be stocked fully after the move? My other option is just to buy a 10-20 gallon tank, add the guppies in, and build the tank around them. I am in no hurry since all is well, but I would love suggestions and ideas!

So are you wanting two tanks or just the 55?

Haha, it's funny how plans can change in just a few hours. I just decided to "rescue" a silver dollar and kribensis from poor tank conditions. Now add a silver dollar and a krib to the tank mix. I took the owner's plastic plants, and am using them to provide heavy protection in the tank since it is now extremely overstocked. The new plan is to get the silver dollar and krib out of the 29 gallon ASAP, and into an old 40-gallon I have. I will then add a few more silver dollars since they love to school, and then for Christmas, I will buy myself a 55-gallon. The new question is, will they all get along together in a 55-gallon, or do I need to put a tank to the side for the krib?

Base the empty 29 around the krib.

Is it a stocking issue, or do you expect the krib will become too aggressive?

Stocking. Personally I wouldn't be safe putting all those able-to-be agressive/problem fish (angelfish, betta, krib, guppies) together .Even if they are peaceful now, a new inhabitant could shake things up a lot. I would do this
55:
all the fish in 29
40
silver dollars and maybe something else
29:
1x Kribensis - I don't keep them but pretty sure they are relatively calm so
6x KuhlI loach
10x Harlequin Rasbora
1x BN pleco

I would definitely be putting the silver dollars into the 55 gallon. They love long spaces to swim in! The 40 gallon will eventually just be a spare tank when the 55 goes up. I am worried about the krib being with the other fish. In my experiences, kribensis cichlids can be a bit too aggressive to keep in ordinary community tanks. I'm honestly not sure what I'll do with him.
