Hello,

Haven't posted in a long time, so first post for now.

Anyways I have a fully cycled (~1 year old) 55 gallon tank, has 2x Corys right now.

sunsun 304b, had a filter that I can't recall but did 210 gal an hour, just went out last night.

Medium planted, giant amazon swords, anubias.

Temp: 78-79 (house is odd)

Ph: 6.5-7ish

Nitrate: 10-15

Nitrite: 0

Ammonia: 0

My plans have always been for a community tank and I have a general idea of what I'd like but if yu guys could chip in with you thoughts that'd be great. Here we go:

?x One schooling fish
?x Another schooling fish
6x Cory
1-2 Centerpiece Fish

Or I was thinking:

?x One schooling fish
?x Another schooling fish
6x Cory
1-2 Centerpiece Fish?
A colony pf shrimp

Thanks all,

Since that would be a pretty light stock, I think you could add another school. Maybe, rainbowfish?

Yes!

I've always thought so, probably would go with 6x BoesemanI Rainbow.

Up Colombian and hatchet to 15?\

Thanks for your help by the way, no ones responded to most of my other ones

Think they would work great as a semI centerpiece yet I love schooling so it would be a good combo of the two.

Lol, what if I told you there was a way you could replace the gold gouramI with a shoal of other, equally colorful but smaller gouramis?

I think It'd be nice to just have a nice large fish, not to many (If that's even possible) Groups of same fish. Aggresion? Gold eat shrimps? I'm "renovating" the tank right now and I'm planning on putting a ton of cave and hiddy spots. The tanks filter crapped out (One only) and the tank was covered in ****, I cleaned it and removed the filter and it looks a thousand times better and much more open and less crowded (Something I hated about the tank) Not sure why I shared this but ok.

Well, my personal favorite tetras are the black phantom and rummynose tetras. In a 55 gallon, you could have 6-8 of each species. For a centerpiece fish, I would have either dwarf or honey gouramis. A colony of shrimp and a group of cories should also be perfectly feasible.

That's what I would do, but it's up to you.
