5 gallon betta tank thoughts.

I recently got a Fluval Spec V and I am going to set it up for a heavy-ish planted betta tank. I would like to have hairgrass, anubias, Java ferns, Java moss (maybe), and baby tears. Could I grow all these with the set up as is or would I need to improve it with CO2 and/or a better light setup (7000k LED) Would it be possible to have any other fish or invertebrates in with a male betta or Is the 5 gallon to small for the bioload?

Also, any suggestions on anything...plants especially, would be great!

For A five gallon you could get a nerite snail and maybe cherry shrimp but they’re expensive and your betta might eat them so they may or may not work with a betta but if it works then they look pretty cool

You could try adding shrimp... but be careful as your betta might be aggressive. If you do add shrimp, then add java moss just in case they feel threatened.
And to answer your question, a few snails and shrimp will not be too much for the tank.

Is the tank cycled?
The tank is not cycled. I'm trying to plan everything before I start it. As of now, I am looking for a place to get all of my plants as well as thoughts on other planta so I can put it together. Then I'll start a fishless cycle and when the parameters are good and stable I will add the betta and then shrimp perhaps.
