So the new 125 is cycled, and will soon move all the fish from the 45 into their new home a little at a time. So after listening to all the comments about planted tanks, We have decided to try our hand at a planted tank. So this is what I am thinking.
First the tank is already cycled (5 years)
Plants:
1) Anubias Nana x4
2) Anubias FrazerI x2
3) Amazon Sword x1
4) Rosette Sword x2
5) Cardinals x3
6) Peacock Fern x1
7 Malaysian Red x1
We have a new Beamsworks DA FSPEC light 36"

Driftwood:
Large x1
Small x3

Fish:
1) Zebra Danio x6
2) Male Fancy Guppy x4
3) Female Fancy Guppy x5
4) Red Micky Mouse Platys x4
5) Sunburst Wag Platys x4
6) Clown Pleco x1
8) Ghost Shrimp x?????
Thoughts or suggestions??????

I always suggest watersprite and tetras! Lol just cause I love them and am biased.. Forum member coralbandit also has some beautiful GBR/EBR hybrids that you should consider. Lastly, I recommend a cleanup crew in the form of some nerite snails (x6) and maybe 4 mystery snails also.

I was thinking about some snails. I'll look at those. Thanks

Amono shrimp would be good for adding to the clean up crew. I have had some in the past and have ghost shrimp now and I have to say the amono shrimp are much better cleaners than ghost.

remember to start with as many plants as you can, most of those plants are very hardy, and remember if one plant doesn't do well but the other do well, then maybe just that one individual doesn't like your alk or PH or something. Also I strongly recommend doing tropicca soil or fluval stratum, I don't really suggest eco complete.

Hope this helps!
