Here's the rescape i finally got around too lol.
Removed the umbrella hairgrass, moved the seyiru stone and manzanita wood to opposite sides of the tank. Also moved the java ferns closer to the center. I feel this gives the bacopa forest a nicer look behind the tiger lotus. The ludwigia rubin is struggling but i think it will come back with some tlc.

Thank you! It's a dwarf tiger lotus. I Lso have ludwigia rubin which is normally the same color but it's been lacking as of late.

 

Looking good! You of course inspired me to order a bag full of Stormtrooper minifigs to go with my setup!

 

Well, been a while since I last posted on this thread but I've changed quite a bit in both my tanks.
Added new driftwood and a larger stone to the background. All fish and shrimp are doing great with the acception of the cories. All but one corydoras has unfortunately passed but nothing else has died. The green dragon bn pleco is doing wonderful. His colors are amazing and is getting on nicely with all other tank mates.

10x glowlight tetra
About 25x shrimp
1x green dragon bn pleco named yoda
1x corydoras
1x honey gourami named c3po

 

Well, i made some majore changes to this tank......and i mean major.
Took out all the bacopas and put them in my 50g. I took the Italian vals from that tank and put them in the 40.
I added some seiryu stones and new plants and changed the scape completely.
As of now, here is both plant and fauna stock.
Plants: ludwigia repens, ludwigia natans super red, dwarf tiger lotus, dwarf sagitaria, java fern, java moss, bucephalandra red blade and bucephalandra lamandau mini purple.

Fauna: 1x honey gourami
1x green dragon bn pleco
9x glowlight tetra
1x otocinclus(last of the 3 i had)
20+ Neocaridina Shrimp.

The glowlight tetra are getting up there in age so i need to start thinking about what to start stocking with in there place. They are beautiful and have brought me great joy but sadly this is the way of life.
I'm also looking for a male and a female honey gourami to help my lone female not feel so...lonely. she follows her reflection sometimes and it's making me think she needs friends lol. Here's some pics of whats going on now. I'm at a loss as to what to do with the righr side but I'm very happy about the rest. Any suggestions? Plants or Hardscape that might look nice in place of whats there?
