Fishproblem

I did a little more shopping, but this time from fellow hobbyists.

I’ve added:
A giant, green hairy mushroom
Weeping willow toadstool
Tyree toadstool
Green finger leather
Purple fuzzy mushrooms
Random purple mushroom

I also got several dozen clownfish by mistake.

“Girl. No one gets several dozen clownfish by mistake”

but it *was* a mistake! The giant mushroom came out of a tank hosting a pair of clownfish. They had a clutch of still attached larvae that I didn’t notice until after acclimation. They wont live, but it’s acool surprise!
Whoa! That picture of the clown fry is sick! And the corals all look awesome - they look pretty big, too. Are they in the tank yet?

They’re in, but closed up.

The giant mushroom opens to 5-6” in diameter. The toadstools have caps 3-4” apart. The fuzzy mushrooms are 2-3” across, and the finger leather is 2-3”.Not large, but certainly larger than what would normally be seen at a fish store for sale.

Nothing is particularly open, as this was just at lights on, but so far, everything survived the night! Even the little clownfish hitchhikers. I’ve already found a local hobbyist that is capable of raising fry, so they’ll be moving along to that person to become proper clownfish
Ugh. I know this will get mushed into the previous post, so I apologize for the confusion.

I took the giant mushroom to my LFS, and had them bandsaw off the portion of the rock with the baby clownfish, so giant green mushroom is all ugly looking. Everything else is opened up, so I’ve added some photos.

The large, purple gorgonian is right at 13”, for a size comparison. I’m really digging the purple hairy mushrooms, and may have to buy several more. They’ve got lots of movement, and are about 5x larger than they were when I saw them in the bag.

I’m baaaaaack!

Apologies for the long absence, family got in my way.

I ended up replacing the t5s with a set of kessil a80s. I don’t think they’re quite bright enough, but I fried the t5s, and couldn’t immediately get my hands on a pair of 16HDs, so bought what they had.

I’ve added in 6 additional gorgonian, one of which was much larger than I expected, and taking up one entire corner.

I have a Pakistani butterfly in there to seehow destructive they are to gorgonian. They will obliterate coral, but I couldn’t find any information on their habits of picking at gorgs, so I borrowed one from the LFS, just to see.

2 of my original 6 banded trocus snails died, so now I have 60-70 of them. I knew they reproduced in the aquarium, but I definitely underestimated how much. I took 30 of them out of my refugium when I trimmed the caulerpa last week.

Other than that, not a lot has changed
