40 watt led in 25 socket?

I have a 40 watt led bulb. It says it only uses 7 though. My hood says to use 25 or less watt bulbs.

If my led bulb says it uses only 7 watts, but is for 40 watt sockets, is it okay in a 25 socket?

Leds produce less but still some heat and that will be the deciding factor as the hood will cope with the current, only way to confirm would be to measure the temp above the old bulb after its been on for a few hours then the same for the led lamp, sorry but I don't know of an easier way to confirm. Little side note the new led bulb may not be the right band of light to allow good growth of plants. Hope that helps

For light appearance, it says 5000K, is this good for plants?
It also says 550 lumens for brightness.
