40 gallon hex tank

look in to fancy up a hex tank some one gave me and I was thinking of a DIY 3d background to cover the back 3 sides since the tank will be in the corner of the room. Any input or suggestions? thinking of keeping it simple with small fish tetra'a, danio's.

 

I would get something big and tall to be the centerpiece

 

Like angelfish. Harlequin rasboras or cardinal tetras go nicely with angels IMO.

 

I think he's looking for help in decorating the tank in this thread. I meant a big and tall piece of decor.

 

I got a large tree trunk that I was thinking of putting air stones in but i'm not sure. i'm going to go home and brainstorm a bit. Hoping to get the tank set up so I can start to cycle it. Good news it i'm getting a filter for the tank from my brother who already has an established tank so there's good bacteria in the filter.

 

I think you should do the tree trunk thing.you should get a black gravel and some nice looking live(or fake) plants.the black will bring out the plant's color.it would look nice
