40 gallon complete set up for free!

I'm so excited, I'm dancing around my kitchen, I think I just scored a 40 gallon with stand, filter, heater and hood for free from free cycle. I replied to it as soon as the message was posted. It's from someone that gave up the hobby after the power outage. I'm going to replace my 30 gallon with this one (I think a 40 gallon is taller if I'm not mistaken). I also got a fluval nano shrimp tank with stand for Xmas, I'm going to move my cherry shrimp and my endlers livebearers into that one. Sorry I had to share, I'm super excited!

From what I've read, the dimensions (LxWxH) of a 40 gallon breeder are 36 3/16" x 18 1/4" x 16 15/16" and a 40 long are 48 1/4" x 12 3/4" x 16 7/8". Compared to a 30 gallon, which is 16 3/4" high, it is roughly the same height.

 

I had the chance to buy a 50 gal on saltwater complete setup for 50 dollars but I away on vacation. Good luck. You should think about adding angels

 

I have a bunch of dime and nickel sized angels I'm growing out right now, I was going to use it for some of them but the guy that was giving the tank away never responded to my email oh well, I'll keep looking.

Aww Thanks. My screen name got banned because my sister logged into my account while I was unconscious in the hospital, I guess she messaged someone and asked them for help with my tanks because she knows nothing about fish, they banned my name for 3 years because someone else knew the pass word, ridiculous.

That is awful l can't believe they would ban you for that. I hope you are feeling better and that it wasn't too serious.

I have my email set up in my phone and I replied as soon as it was posted, I thought for sure I would be the first one to reply. I think people on that site pick and choose who their stuff goes to instead of doing first come first serve.

I had some issues with my stomach, and I was really sick and not eating, I fell and hit my head and I was out cold for a week. I'm better now. I can't believe they did that either, I made a new screen name and tried to explain everything and they banned that one too. The thing is she didn't even post in the forums, she only messaged someone to explain to them what happened to me and to ask some questions about tank maintenance. She didn't have my password, she had my phone which automatically logs me into my accounts. They told her to stop using my screen name or they would ban it, so she stopped and they banned it anyways......kind of ridiculous seeing that I had no control over what was going on. But anyways I'm here on this forum now and I better see you at the fish convention in March!

It's a tropical fish convention at the crown plaza hotel in cromwell. I'll get the exact dates, I have to find the email. They usually have a huge auction.
