4 gallon stocking?

TheNacho

I know 4 gallons are VERY limited. Honesty I wouldn't even keep a betta in there, I used to but it never went too well.

Now I have a 4 gallon that I'm currently 'cycling' (I used filter media from a very cycled tank), probably will turn it into a shrimp tank, but are there any fish that could live comfortably there?

I've seen people suggest fish like small tetras but I don't want a whole school in there. Could a guppy or two live there? Any suggestion?

It will be a lovely shrimp and snail tank. Nice plants!

I'd be against putting any fish in there long term. There are some very interesting snails out there!!

I’m never successful in keeping tanks of that size so I’d avoid fish and use animals with a low production of waste such as shrimp and snails. Amanos and nerite snails are suitable and will enjoy the plants you have.

That’s just what I’d do though. If you want fish then a couple to a few fish such as the guppies you suggested could work.
