4 days water Is still a little cloudy?

I'm a beginner here and need a little help.......My tank Is cycled and right now I still only have goldfish In It. My 30 gallon tank had beautiful crystal clear water In It until about four days ago. I did add some fake plants and a large ornament a little over a week ago. But anyway, the water Is a little cloudy. I did a water change and It didn't get any better, I scrubbed the Inside sides of the tank, the filter cartridge Is still good and I even tested the water, which came out just fine. How can I get my clear water back?

you might have a bacterial bloom going, if so it'll go away on it's own. the stuff that you added - was it rinsed well in treated tap water?

how often are you doing water changes and how much are you changing each time? There are products, like AccuClear, to help clear cloudy water.

Thanks for the response......I do water changes once a week, about 20-25% each time. No I didn't rinse the ornaments before putting them In, I assume that was a bad thing? How long will It take for the bacteria to clear so I'll know If It's not another problem? I'm getting ready to start adding tropical fish In my tank and the water was perfect up until I was planning on new fish! Go figure! Thanks again,

sometimes they can have dust or stuff on them.. but it should be ok. the blooms last different amounts of time, but I think they're around 4-5 days so if it is a bloom, it should clear soon. if there are no fish in there, i'd do a 99% water change - just keep the gravel wet and the sponge in the filter wet.

Were you planning on adding tropicals in with goldfish? Or are the goldfish coming out? The two don't mix very well, is why I ask...

Okay, maybe I should do a full water change If It doesn't clear up In a few days. I only have goldfish In there now, but they will come out way before the tropical fish come In. Thanks sooooo much!!!
