I had wanted to ask you , is it just you and your wife that maintain those tanks or do you have help. I am in awe! . You are going to have to give the rest of us some lessons. Any tips on how to get ours looking like that on a much smaller scale? Alison

Thanks for all the complements (I love it) . My wife helps me on the smaller tanks 55 gallons down. To service the big guys you have to have long arms, and a good pair of snake tongs to move things around. At 36 inches tall this tank is tough to keep clean. That's were over filtering comes into play. It looks really nice, but I wouldn't recommend any tank over 24 inches tall.
Have fun with your hobby, Harry

Sick!!!!!!
That tank rivals most LFS's display tanks. I'd have to argue that it surpasses everyone that I have seen, excluding public aquariums. Even then it would fit in.

How much does that thing weigh in total?! And I thought a 75 gallon filled with just water was heavy!

360 gallons of water = 3060 lbs.
bowl rock = 800 lbs.
gravel =300 lbs.
tank =900 lbs.
stand =500 lbs.
filters = 200 lbs.
for a grand total of 5760 lbs.
Good thing I have a slab floor

That's crazy! I am having trouble finding a stand to support a 75 gallon. That's only like 900 pounds with my rocks/sand, water, and decorations!
