36 Gallon Bowfront Build

Hello, everyone. I’m a new member here and this is my first post. I have been taking my time in setting up this tank (four months in) and finally set up and planted the tank this past week. As stated in the title, the tank is a 36 Gallon bowfront that was part of a combo I got from a stellar Black Friday deal at PetSmart. The light is a finnex 24/7 planted plus se. I have an Eheim 2215 for the filtration. The tank also has a pressurized CO2 system and I will be EI dosing.

What I was thinking for the stocking was
11 Black neon tetras
11 rummy nose tetras
7 juliI Cory cats
Some nerites or otos (if the nerites will harm the x mas moss??)
I already ran the stocking through aqadvisor and it checks out there, but I want to double check on here that this stocking will work.
If all is ok, my plans is to buy 7 Black neons, quarantine them for 4 weeks, and then add to the 36 gal. Next the cories with 4 weeks of quarantine and then adding to the 36. Then 7 of the rummy nose with 4 weeks in q tank. And then finally the remaining 4 Black neons and 4 rummy nose. My quarantine tank is a ten gallon that finished cycling (fishless with ammonia).

Here are some photos of my tank!

Kool looking tank, love the driftwood and progression photos.

I won’t comment of the stocking because, without researching, I don’t know the temperature compatibility. But they are not aggressive.

I suggest a backing on the tank. My personal preference is black.

This is my 36bf. Not nearly as well thought out as yours but I love the activity, it is a busy tank but everyone plays well together.

Thank you all for the replies. All of your tanks look great! The reflection makes it hard to tell but I did put a black film on as the background. I started the stocking with seven Black neons today. Can’t wait for them to get thought quarantine and into the 36.

Dila,

lots of youngsters in there. A piece of pantyhose would probably get em in the mood more than that blue intake cover.

Kameron,

That is an awesome piece of driftwood!
