36 Gal Bowfront

Goldfishnoob

Hello,
I have a 5 gallon housing a male betta, 2 shrimp, and 2 Malaysian trumpet snails. I also have a 36 Bowfront currently holding 3 fancy goldfish. I am moving my goldfish to a 75 gallon it’s currently cycling with an algae bloom :/ My question is this could I put my male betta
(6?) kuhli loaches
(6?) harlequin rasboras
And my 2 shrimp and trumpets in the 36 gallon?
Is that overstocked? I do weekly water changes. There’s a marine land 306 on the 36 gallon.

I'd keep the betta and stuff in the 5 gallon, he would get tired in a tank that deep. maybe do some different stuff in the 36 bowfront. To answer your original question, it wouldn't be overstocked.

I just feel so bad for him crammed in his tiny tank. But ok thank you. I will think of a new use for the tank.

How deep is the bowfront? It could work, maybe you could have tall plants with leaves to rest on. Hopefully someone whos kept betta in deeper tanks can chime in.

It’s 20” tall but I could heavily plant it and give him spots to rest near the top? I really like the thought of having kuhli loaches.

I think that would work just fine. My betta is in a 30 gallon and it’s quite tall, he does have some trouble getting around because of his long fins but he has plants to rest on and seems happy. If your betta has somewhat short fins and plants near the top, I don’t think he would mind the depth.

Just saw the photo, it’s up to you to determine if he can swim well enough to be comfortable in the bow front.

Ok thank you. I’ll plant it heavy and make sure there are tons of leaning spots. My 75 gallon is still cycling so it could be a couple weeks but I’ll start hoarding plants in the aquariums. Thank you all again!
