How much can I expect to pay for a good 300 watt adjustable heater?

Depends on the brand. You could always look online for a good deal. I like the Aqueon heaters. Are you still anti-Amazon? lol

If you find a model you like and decide you aren't anti-Amazon, they usually have options for used ones too if you want to save a few bucks! I've purchased used heaters before and just make sure I bleach dip them before using. Never had an issue!

Yes Amazon will never get my credit card numbers again.

What's wrong with amazon? Use it all the time. You probably purchased an item without looking at the rating and reviews

Try kensfish.com. I hear their prices are pretty good and it looks like there are some sales going on right now. You get free shipping for orders over $49. Get some food for your new corys too. I've been wanting to try their catfish sticks!

As others have said, depends on brand. I believe that a decent to good will be anywhere from 25-35$. Really good ones are 40 and up. When it comes to filters and heaters, I would never buy used.

I bought a 20 dollar MP3 player from them after that they took an additional 4 withdrawals from my account totaling 250 bucks. Had to cancel my cards and get new ones. That cost me extra money. Had to change it with my insurance company and a few other places. What a pain. Never again

$50 or more for a quality heater. I paid $49.95 for my 250 watt Ehiem jagers and I got them from the PetSmart website.

Check Ebay - they sell new heaters. I avoid Petsmart, Petco, and the like because they overcharge.

The Fluval E Electronic Heater is a 300 W adjustable heater that is highly reliable.
The price of this item is around 50 dollars, and it's pretty high quality.

I have not heard of them but high number of negative reviews on amazon. Sorry Dave75 disregard this as the I looked at was the wrong one. This one actually has quite a few good reviews. The titanium one is the bad one.
