Hey all! Someone in one of my local Facebook groups is trying to get rid of 30 ghost shrimp. I’ve been looking for some shrimp and this sounds perfect but is 30 too many for my 20 gallon? Thanks!
Current stocking is a female betta a bristlnose a nerite, a mystery snail, and 6 van rio tetras along with like 3 ghost shrimp

I think you should be OK bioload wise, at least.

That, can't say. The betta should help keep the babies in check at least, though. Maybe the tetras too

They should be fine in terms of bioload. There are multiple species of ghost shrimp and some can breed in freshwater others only in brackish.

One thing I do caution you, ghost shrimp often are fin nippers so usually they're not ideal with bettas. You mention you have a female so you may be okay but something to watch. I had them with a male betta and they destroyed his fins

i have about 12 amanos..2 vampire shrimps and about 100 mixes of neo caridinas in a 4G tank!
but i so have to change water weekly ( about 25%) to keep the TDS down. and replace the wool media in the HOB filter weekly too. gets very dirty.
