Hi all! I am new to the hobby and just signed up for this forum for more knowledge and experience with my aquariums!

Man, I have had a blast searching online kijiji ebay craigslist for great deals on equipment, I started with a 20 gallon allin one starter set and It has turned out amazing.

Without knowing, I added a dozen zebra danios, 3 guppies, a few snales an awesome pleco in there and it has been absolutely booming for the last 30 days.

There's nothing wrong with fish-in cycling as long as you keep an eye on your water readings and control ammonia and nitrites with partial water changes.

I assume since your tank is doing well that you've been doing frequent partial water changes. If not, you're at about the time when things will go south. Are you using an API Master Test Kit?

Welcome to the hobby. Once you're in it, there are a lot more things to it than it seems when you start, and it's a lot of fun.
