2nd Female Guppy Having Babies Now

Yesterday 7 babies from our first female and now our tequila sunrise Guppy has had 3 and more sure to come!
We only got her last week so she was already pregnant.
Gf wants to keep them all but I'm hoping my local pet store might trade them for other fish.
Plus our other female (3rd) looks like she may also be preggers! Hen it rains it pours!
I took the momma out of the tank and put her in a 1 gallon I have until she finishes popping out babies.
Unfortunately the 1 gallon doesn't have a working filter but I suppose one night won't kill her. But I'll need something to make some water flow if it's gonna be a baby Guppy tank
Any tips?

Tip one: Put her back. I just leave my females, if it isn't filtered then she might die. Also if it is filtered the babies might die. You don't want a guppy colony unless you have the room, I would just leave the guppies to their own devices and hope most of the fry die. If some survive then you will need a larger tank

HI I read your other post as well and had a few questions. You have the 65 which is probably not suitable for guppies with the angels. What is in the 10 and 29 gallon tanks? From your other post it sounded like only had the guppies in the smallest 2 tanks and I'm wondering why they aren't in the 10 or 29 gallon. If you are serious about keeping all the fry you will have to use a tank larger then 3 gallons because females typically have babies every month even if you separate them from the male since they can store sperm for around 6 months. These first batches were small but next month they will probably have bigger batches of 20+ fry each. Times that by 3 and you are quickly over crowded in a 3 gallon tank. You could possibly grow out that many fry if you can use the 29 and 10 gallon for fry. You will still need to do water changes often and feed the fry a few times a day to get them to grow properly. Take pictures of the parents and visit your local fish store now and see what they tell you about taking your fish. They likely won't offer you cash only store credit and maybe only 10 cents. See what size they want them. Have them show you a fish the size they want because some people are really bad at judging sizes lol I've had employees say quarter inch and really meant almost an inch long. If you continue raising guppies long term and build a relationship with the store you might get better prices over time. I started getting 15 cents but over time I now get $1. This is largely due to the fact that I'm a member of the local aquarium club which has an agreement with the store as well. Craigslist is another option for selling/ rehoming fish.

I will definitely talk to my fish store, luckily I have one 3 blocks away and it's quite a great little independent local store.
Anyhoo, my 29 isn't running yet as I have to reseal it first BUT I got a new 10 Gallon today! For 5$ at a thrift store! So that's where my baby Guppies will be going. I do have another established 10 but I have 3 ADF in it and dwarf Gourami.
So I'm happy about the new 10G that leaves my 29 open for what I wanted to do before the Guppies started taking over and that get some Ram Cichlids(a pair) and perhaps move my Gourami into the 29 as well but only if I can find a female for him

Nice find with that tank. With summer/ spring coming keep an eye out on the side of the road and on Craigslist. During summer people are more likely to get rid of tanks free or cheap. Last year I found 2 tanks sitting on the side of the road and one on Craigslist all free. Some of the tanks had free supplies with them as well so I got a lot of decorations that way too. Or there is always petco/ pet supplies plus dollar per gallon sale. If you don't have those stores in your town but have petsmart you can price match.

If you want the babies to survive then add more live plants. Helps hide them from the adults and grows food in the leaves for them to nibble on
