How much way your apisto. there are like $45 a pair here! Good find. You need to get more rasboras. Poor thing!
He was only $12!! These are extremely hard to find females, they are almost all males. The tank was too heavily planted for me to see though.
That's all the rasboras they had, I lost one after they secluded him. They have been showing territorial spawning behavior. If I see more in the future I will definitely grab some

Me too! It was a very unexpected find, but hes doing great. We are actually moving soon and will have a bigger house. Which means I'll be able to set up a Q tank and treat this cory, if she lives. But being wild caught, who knows. So far they seem happy even though they are all different species LOL

Well my aponogeton is dead after 5 days. What a shame I used to be able to keep plants alive at the old house, esp aponogetons. Guess I can't have any live plants except java fern
Started getting black/brown spots and now it's got holes in it. Tried to put it in my other tank but no luck saving it.

Also the banana stem pieces from the botanical order are growing a bunch of weird stuff lol (in my other 29g)

Well super depressed, I got the flu and have been extremely sick for 7 days. My tank pretty much crashed. Lost all but 3 of my cardinals. Lost 2 cory cats.
All the fish got stuck in a big plant behind the rock sculpture and I was too sick to even get out of bed let alone do tank maintenance.
Some of the botanicals were heavily disintegrating (banana stem pieces) and causing a lot of debris in the tank. I took everything out and emptied the water, good thing I did it was gross.
My surviving pleco, 3 Cardinals, 2 cory cats, apistogramma, and 2 black harlequin rasboras are now in my daughters 29 gallon tank with all the other misfits and her school of Congo's
Man, ever since I got this new light, and added that cool looking tree root piece I've had nothing but problems. Never have I had so many issues with a tank.

*sigh*
Stay tuned....

"This too shal pass". Just keep looking up and forward and leave the past behind (I should become a psycologist lol), there is nothing that you can do about it. I hope you feel better.

Well we are moving in a month or two to a new house so after taking down the tank, not setting it back up until we move. I put all the fish in my daughters 29 gallon tank. The remaining survivors....1 black harlequin rasbora, the 2 melinI Cory's, pleco, 1 cardinal tetra. Lost my apisto today. So sad that everything is gone. I'm honestly starting to suspect the cool looking root branch. Ever since I added it I've had problems.
Her tank is so full of misfits from my tank crashes lol ^^;;;
2 rummynose, 1 x-ray tetra, 1 glowfish tetra, 1 cardinal, 1 rasbora, 2 Cory's, 2 plecos, 2 Ottos, (the original fish, featherfin squeaker cat, 6 Congo's, and a yoyo loach)

Such a shame, I honestly thought he was going to do well. Well the tank DID look pretty when it was setup lol
I know it's something in the tank and not the water cause my daughters tank is perfectly fine

I honestly think it's the root branch. It's not Malaysian driftwood like my other pieces, but ever since I added it, problems haven't stopped. But I like it so much :"( not going to add it when I set the tank up again and see if that helps. Our water will be different in the new house too

I do like the wood and overall appearance.
Except, not a fan of the volcanic rock/pumice or whatever it is. I used to have some, I think for me, it just doesn't belong in that scene.
Same as when I tried it in my aquariums. Personal taste that's all.
Glad you enjoy it.

Its funny you mention that, and I agree, BUT I have had that piece of lava stone for about... 18 years or so. No joke! It's been in every single one of my tanks and I can't seem to take it out haha the fish love it

We haven't moved yet so it's still disassembled. We close next frI though! Not moving in right away. We have work to do on the house but I will surely update when we do. We are also getting a saltwater tank downstairs as I have had many saltwater tanks before and miss them

Interesting that you've had them for ~ 18 years.
I might be able to top you with 25+ years for my pieces. I had a funeral for them, then tossed them in garbage. I think I had them with lizards first, many years ago, then an aquarium. They were/are nifty looking.
