I currently have 5 harlequin raspboras in my 29. I plan to switch the substrate from gravel to sand, then add 5 panda cories (in QT). I plan to get a few more of both species.

What else? Honey gourami? Bolivian ram? Kribensis? Pearl gourami? Cherry barbs? Another school of fish? I want a peaceful tank.

    Looking for ideas! 6ac4a9d9aabb397175c993fa515b650b.jpg

    I wouldn’t do Kribs. I would do
    4 Honey Gouramis
    12 Harlequins
    2 Bolivian Rams
    8 Panda Corys

    8 Neon Tetras

I would go with cherry barbs, myself, just because I've found them more forgiving then many other fish ;)

I do appreciate fish that are forgiving/ hardy.

By the way, my parameters are 0 0 5. pH 7.5. Soft water. 76 degrees.

I have heard that cherry barbs are quite entertaining!

I do miss my barbs. I had them for years. Don't forget to give your cherry barbs some organic salad from time to time. You can use a magnetic algae scraper to hold it in place for them ;)

    Salad? Interesting. Tell me more.

If I add cherry barbs, how many should I add? Would this work:

    8 to 12 harlequins
    8 panda corys
    8 cherry barbs

Sounds like a cute and active tank. You'll have a lot of fun watching them! And yes, barbs do appreciate good salad ;)
