Hey guys. I need some advice on getting a light on a budget that can grow soft coral in a standard 29 gallon tank (30” long and 18” deep). I have been looking at Hipargero LED Clip Ons that seem like they would do great, but I know I would probably need two (was hoping for just one) to light my tank properly. Im looking for something other than Fluorescent and is ideally less than $150. I know, I know, its a tight budget but it needs to work. Help!

For LEDs in that price range a Chinese Black Box is probably the way to go. Just buy a timer and it should work. If you plan on covering the rock with corals, stick your least demanding corals on the fringes. The Chinese black boxes offer virtually no customization but a light that will provide good all around growth, whereas the Current USA Orbit will provide tons of customization but weak lighting.
