29 gallon is up; Tahitian moon sand cycle?

HI all, I got my sand today and got my 29 gallon tank up and running! This is my first tank so I am pretty excited. I had my filter running for the past week in a 10 gallon tank, so I could start the cycling process there, keep my java ferns alive, and soak my driftwood.

I used tahitian moon sand as substrate, and the package claims that you can add fish within 20 minutes as it comes with biological additives. Now I wasn't planning on adding fish until I did a proper fishless cycle (I found a gallon of ammonia today too!). However can I truly add fish right away as the bag claims? I have an API test kit, but its only been about 20 minutes and I haven't tested the water yet. I also haven't added ammonia yet because I don't know if I need to now?

Since nothing is producing ammonia in my tank; what should I test for to see if I am really okay to add fish? Should I add a little ammonia and test for nitrates?

Some more info: For my filter I have an Aqueon 20 right now but will be getting an aquaclear 50 in the next couple days. I plan to use both filters (for a little bit) so I can prepare a quarantine tank.

Pic of new tank, I still have a lot of air bubbles as you can see, and I definitely need to add some more plants I think.

Very nice tank!! I don't trust the package of the sand. I would do a fishless cycle anyway.

I have used that sand . The packet of stuff is to decloud the water, not for cycling.

I really like black substrates. Makes the tank really look sleek and makes everything pop out more. I see your driftwood growing the typical white slimey stuff (happens to me too with every new driftwood.)

I kinda figured I should go with my original plan and fishless cycle naturally; but the package said add fish after 20 minutes...just got excited/hopeful. Good thing I found the ammonia today!

It was growing the slime in my 10 gallon tank; I boiled it again before adding it to my 29 gallon. The white you see in the picture is just air bubbles, the tank has a ton of air bubbles!
