Hi all, I've found a very good deal on a 200 litre aquarium / 53 gallon. (fluval roma 200) and am thinking of doing a discus set up or a angelfish community tank.

Will this be a suitable sized permanent home for discus?

Also I've heard discus need to be kept in groups of 6+, otherwise id probably go with 4 as they grow so large and dont want the tank looking overcrowded.

option 1) Thinking of getting 6 discus and maybe a few other fish. Possibly a gbr pair or some cardinals or rummy nose tetras.

option 2) 4 angel fish, a school of rummynose / cardinal tetras, 2-4 gbrs and a school of corydoras.

option 3) 6 Denison barbs + other comunity fish (not sure which ones yet).

any stocking advice would be appreciated. with either discus angels or denison barbs being the centrepiece fish : )

With discus 4 would be good in that tank. Nothing else for a while maybe a year. Read up on discus before starting with them. Both of your other options will be fine. Good luck.
