20 long with algae problem. I need advice

Hello sorry in advance for the long message.
So I've had my 20 long set up for about 7 months now. And in the last few weeks I've had a massive amount of green hair algae show up. And some brown algae but not much.

So the tank is heavily planted, I have java moss, jungle val, frog bit, dwarf sag, and a crypt the small leaf variation, and guppy grass.

For pets I have 3 dwarf African frogs, planing on getting 1 more. I think I have 1 male 2 females. 2 neon tetras but they are getting old. 4 x ray tetras which I'm not liking much, 5 mollies 2 adults 3 preteens. About 5 assassin snails. Bunch of eggs on the way. Then I have ramshorn snails and bladder snails. And ab small population of I believe amano shrimp. I want to get rid of the mollies 2 of the babies have tumors, the 2 adults are both females and they are very aggressive.
I'm thinking of getting some fish that will eat algae. I'm thinking otocinclas maybe 1 of those and some guppies all males. Getting those to replace the mollies. I want to convince my wife to let me get rid of most of the fish keeping the frogs. And starting with a fresh batch if fish. Another option is get the oto and get some more neon tetras, and get some kind of centerpiece fish that will really pop in a heavily planted tank. Like a garami or a few american flag fish

I think we will need to know more about your tank to help with your algae problem:

Water parameters/water change schedule
Any ferts being used
Lighting schedule
Photos of the tank would also be helpful

Okay so my 20 long has 0 ammonia 0 nitrites and ranges between 20-30 nitrates. My ph is about a 6.8. I have a aqueon led lamp with a white day bulb and a a color max buld. My light stays on from about 6am - 9pm. I dont mind having algea I just really want to have something that will eat it to keep it under control better. I just added 8 endlers to the tank. I know the sticking is pretty heavy. I watch it closely and do water changes every other week and I do top offs every few days. I have a canister Filter set up. A smaller canister with sponges and a semi bigger one with nothing but lava rock and ceramic rings.

About the otos. They should be kept in groups, I would say at least 6 of them. And if you still want to get them, do some reading up on their care, as they can be finicky when it comes to keeping them alive due to feeding issues.
And to try to combat the algae. You could start by reducing the lighting schedule. I usually take time off the pm due to needing to be able to feed the fish at earlier times.
You can also add some more stem plants or floaters to suck up excess nutrients, but I would say pothos vine clippings would do the best work, and are easiest to get.

Doing more water changes would help with that heavy of a stocking. Your algae is likely thriving on the higher nitrates; keeping those down can help a bit. The plants JuiceCong mentioned will help with this greatly as well.

I’ll go out on a limb and say your tank is already overstocked; IMO I’d hold off on any new fish unless the current stocking changes.
