Hello! I currently have a 10 gallon with a school of cardinal tetras and some cories. I have been looking into an upgrade to a 20 gallon planted long or high with the following stocking:

2 Dwarf Gouramis (Male/Female)
8-10 cardinal tetras
4 emerald green cories
Haven’t decided on plants yet

With the following equipment:

Marineland Penguin 200 filter
Aqueon 150 watt heater
Beamswork DA 6500K LED lights

Questions, comments and critiques would be greatly appreciated

Do not do 8 dwarf gouramis in a 20 gallon! You could do a male/female pair but definitely not 8 of them.

A 20 long is better than a 20 high.

Bump up your cory numbers to 6 or 8 and your stocking would be just fine. So:

2 dwarf gourami (m/f)
8-10 cardinal tetra
6-8 green corydora

Should work just fine.

I originally said 2 Dwarf Gouramis, if I’m not mistaken. The variety of cories is a bit larger than say, a panda or peppered Cory. Should I take that into consideration?

I must have been mistaken, I could have sworn it said 8!

Green cories are a larger variety but 6-8 should still be fine in a 20 long.

Looks great, just keep in mind the cories will do best in a group of 6 minimum, you could get away with 4 or 5 but 6 is optimal with your current settup.

Are greens that much bigger than peppers?

My female peppers are all of 3”.

I've seen green and bronze cory cats reach that size before.
