I'm down to two dwarf cories in my 20 gallon long - no other fish. While I research other stocking options, will just having those two little guys in a tank that size mess with my cycle? I know that cories need a minimum of 6, but this is my third go round in 2 1/2 years of trying to build a school of them and I just can't seem to keep more than one or two alive at a time. Although I really love them, I'm throwing in the towel and looking for something else.

It won't ruin your cycle but your beneficial bacteria will probobly die off a bit and adjust to the smaller load of just the 2 fish. You can build the bacteria back up pretty quickly tho by adding more fish just don't add a bunch of bio load back all at once and expect it to all be processed the same as when you had 6 fish worth of bioload.
