2 Rabbit Snail Babies In One Month

I bought a rabbit snail about 2 months ago. There’s only 1 adult rabbit snail in the tank. It had a baby after 2 weeks. 2 weeks after that it had another baby. I thought it took longer than 2 weeks?

You sure it's a rabbit snail and not an MTS? Rabbit snails reproduce sexually and can only produce 3-6 babies per year. How large are the babies?

 

They could be twins(I’ve heard of them occasionally have twins).Yes, it typically does take longer but if they are twins then they’d be given birth at similar times.

 

It is a rabbit snail (2 inches long). I have mts in another tank and they look different. The babies are the size of mts but a bit smaller (1-1.5 cm). One is about .5 cm larger than the other

Our office tank has a large female rabbit snail, and she’s had 4 babies since early Jan, none in the past 2 weeks (so 4 babies in say 9 weeks).

How big is the snail? Maybe they give birth more often when they are older? Mine is a bit more than 2 inch
