recently I bought three African dwarf frogs, two male and one female. One of the males used to “hug” the female but later I gave away the female. Now the male is hugging the other male frog.. So In my tank I see the two males hugging. Either one is on each others back or face to face, is this normal?? One of the male seems to continuously keep singing too. Also the other male doesn’t seem to like it so I have to keep tapping the glass to split them apart. Posted a photo so you guys can see. Can someone explain why this is happening and if it’s normal, thanks.

Maybe frogs just wanna have fun. It doesn’t look like they’re hurting each other so I wouldn’t worry about it.

Hello! It's regular meeting behaviour. If there was a female, they'd be hugging her, but since there are just two males they're expressing this behaviour. Singing is also normal and mating behaviour (or trying to mate behaviour). This is totally normal, and you don't have to worry about it.

Completely normal (mating behavior), you don't need to worry. There aren't any females present so they do what they can with the other frog in the tank. The other male might not really enjoy it, but it won't hurt him.

Ok thank you so much! I’ve been worrying it about it because one of the males might of been confused and tried to mate with the other male making him feel uncomfortable. I guess not! So thank you again for ur reply

Okay thank you so much!! I was a bit worried because the other male keeps trying to get out of his grasp so I figured he was hurting him. I’m glad to hear he’s not. Thank you once again!!

Ahh I see. As long as their not hurting each other it should be fine. Thank you!

No problem! I've found that even other people's frogs (my sister has an ADF, and I was originally looking into them) can easily scare me when they're just drifting around! So cute though. Your frogs are adorable!
