2 Kuhlis okay?

I've read that 3 is the general minimum... would they be unhappy in a pair?

The more you have the more active they are. Are they going into the 160L? If so that tank is already stocked to capacity.

I read that kuhlI loaches are natural loners but will group with others.

Ya it comes and swims along with my fingers when I have my hand in there moving some large stuff around. It is very odd from what I have read about them.

Try and make it look like a coolie though, and make sure you use aquarium safe paint. lol :;jk

would two kuhlis in a 10gal work? if so, how many hiding places would they need?

 

They generally burrow into the gravel. If you have more space 3 is of a better option. But I think that 2 can be fine too.

I have 3 and yet I see mine not at all!!(besides peeping faces) I thought after a while it would come right and I was just dieing to see that circles they do. All they want to show me is their bushy mustache!
