I'm running 2 fluval 406s on my 125g I haven't serviced them yet cause my tank was cycling a didn't want to disturb the cycle ......

Now I'm going to service them with my weekly water changes but how should I go about it should I service both of them at the same time or should I do one this week and the other the following week? ( basically alternating between the two)

Stocking info
6 1/2 -1 in tiger barbs

I'd alternate but you shouldn't need to service them yet since your tank is so lightly stocked.

Hello joi...

One at a time or both at the same time will work. You have plenty of bacteria living on the surfaces inside the tank, so removing some when you clean the filter or filters won't do any harm to the tank. The lost bacteria will reproduce to its form level in a few hours.

I would stagger them, and I probably would spread them out further than a week.
