2 females in hatchery box?

I know some of you won't like the idea but two of my female platy look ready to blow! I think it's going to be tonight for both of them. Once babies are born in my tank it's close to impossible to catch them. Is it alright if I keep both the females together in the hatchery for a night? Will it affect the birth?
Thanks for the help!

You can. You may find that the fry get eaten by their mamas because there is nowhere for them to hide in such a small space. You might also find the two prospective mamas stress each other out. So really it's one of those six of one, half dozen of the other, situations where you won't know the outcome until you try.

Can you put some plants in with them to give the fry a place to hide? Alison

Yup! I had 12 a few days back
And I've just introduced the largest one from my last batch into the main tank. Happy!
