Hi Coradee. I'm wondering what to do about my cories. I've had many stocking questions lately, as I have a new 36 gal bow front. I have had 2 Schwartz cories for 1 1/2 years and 2 emerald cories for about 8 months. I didn't know that I needed at least 6 or that they should be species specific. I really do like the little guys. Is it possible to have 6 of each in this tank. I don't think so and I don't know how to go about rehoming anyone. No one I know has an aquarium. What would you do ?

6 of each would be ideal, but depending on your other stock you could get away with 5 of each

Really? Well I have 6 male guppies,5,harlequin rasboras and 7 red eye tetras. If I added 8 cories that would really be ok? I was still hoping to get a dwarf gourami soon as well. Could I still do that.?

Corys don't have a large bioload so imo you'd be fine with adding more, I wouldn't add them all at once though, do it in two stages
