Added 11 Harlequin Rasbora and 7 black phantom tetras to my new tank last week. Today I'm short 2 rasboras. Took filters apart, looked all around the tank (only have a 1 inch by 2 inch opening in cover by filter). There are no bodies, no ammonia. Hmmmmmmmm

I lost a decent sized angel a while ago. Saw him at night, couldn't find him in the morning. No body, no bones and no opening in the top. (Canister hose fits through with only a about a 1/2" opening around it.)

I too have lost a few fish over the years. I think the consensus around here is aliens. Lol

Aww man, I can handle the thought that they jumped out and my cat found them, or got sick hid and died under a decoration. But to think they're somewhere getting anally probed is disturbing!

Interestingly, the surviving 9 have been schooling much more tightly today. All the fish are juveniles and a couple of the tetras have bulked up in the past week, claimed territory and started bullying anyone who tries to come near their spots. I wonder if they did in the 2 that are missing and the rest are schooling tightly for protection.

The aliens try to keep fish but even with their technology they are confounded by how to keep these creatures alive in these boxes of water. They accept humans as the superior race due to their ability to sometimes keep fish. That’s why we haven’t been invaded.

I wouldn't worry till extra fish start showing up in your tank.
