One on each end ?
That would probably be best, but you would be better off with a canister filter
if you already have them both then ya it's good. If you haven't bought them yet then I would consider a canister filter.
Do you think it may cause to much flow or current
It depends on the fish
no almost all healthy fish can swim with current obviously to surten limit. but regardless if you feel like it's to much flow you can just lower the flow with the AC. also if you want you could get a AC 70 and a AC 50 givinf you 500gal/h which is perfect for a 46g if your worried about flow and you can save a few bucks. what fish are you keeping?
Mollies, platties, guppies ,pleco and Betta ( all male tank ) already have it set up been set up for almost a year just double thinking my filtration is all
What do you currently have as filtration?
I would vote for a canister filter and one AC 70 as back up.
