2.2gal walstad tank for betta

i have a 2.2 gal tank left over after upgrading to a 10 gal low tech planted tank. my betta is agressive to his tank mate and isnt a strong enough swimmer with the marineland penguin 100 hob power filter. i want to set up this extra tank to be a forever home for my betta. ive never done a walstad tank before and i wanna do it right. any plant suggestions? any tips or tricks? recommendations? i will still run a itty bitty hob filter on the tank but it doesnt realistically do much for filtration. just helps keep water from being stagnant. is this project realistic?

I wouldn’t do a betta in 2.2 gallons, what’s the footprint?
