I'm so glad you're feeling better!
Thanks for the update, both you and your tank

And the giant clown loach added in my last update? Well, I told hubby that he could name her, to try and increase his attachment a little bit. She is now called..... "Big Fish". Men.
That's how I ended up with a Betta named Puppy Dog Eyezz.
Whatever it takes huh? lol

I have a bit of tinkering to do in the tank during this week, but I will take some up to date photos on the weekend and upload them. They are LONG overdue!
Looking forward to it!

I promised hoto:! (A day late :whistling
The fish refused to play nice for photos, so the congos are the only ones out and about. I posted these pics in another update thread, but figured they belonged here as well!

The pics below were taken just after the metal halides switched off for the night, and post water change.

I'll try and stalk the fish over the next few days for some pics.

Thought it high time for an update. This tank has proved to be a huge challenge for me, figuring out the hard way how an ecosystem develops over time!
I'm still struggling with some thread algae, as my trusty SAEs were lost in the recent (second) disaster. Otherwise things have improved dramatically with increased flow, keeping on top of filter maintenance and changing to PPSPro dosing of ferts.

The assistance of a friend has been invaluable over recent weeks, helping me get the light stand repositioned for the metal halides and getting the flow working better within the tank.
We still have some work to go, but things are progressing well enough to update with some pics!

I love how it is planted on one side and nice and open on the other!

^I love that concept too.

Your tank looks nice since I last view here. The fish all look happy.

Wow must be really different then what we got here, i got play sand in mine and it looks nothing like that, mines more brownish greyish and really dull and dusty even after washing it forever.
