15 Gallon Tank 15 Gallon stocking

AhmedMagdy

Hi guys,

I have 15 gallon tank low tech planted tank with the below fish:

10 harlequin rasbora
2 small female electric blue ram
3 kuli loches to feed on uneaten food from the bottom

I want to add some fish because tank looks empty sometimes, i have a floating plant which i understood will help absorb bad chemicals like ammonia from water.

Please suggest,

I am thinking of:

7 cardinal tetra
OR
1 male electric ram to be beside the two females
OR
Dwarf gourami (big centerpiece fish)

Thank you

i don't think you can put anymore fish inside, it does look really nice though

Hello and welcome to Fishlore!!

I like your tank! It's a great natural scape!

I don't know that I would add the Cardinals...I think that would be a bit too much for that tank. A male Ram would be nice to have with the two females. I wouldn't do a DG. Too many problems with those fish health-wise and they can be jerks too.

What kind of filtration do you have?

Thanks !! Appreciate your suggestion .
I have a hang on filter (RS brand) commerically they claim it filter 800l/h but i doubt that.. it contains spong inside and added small spong on its intake to support and not to suck up any floating plants.

By the way, the plant on the surface is water lettuce

I would also like to welcome you to the forum, and I agree with Leeman75. Maybe add a male EBR, but that's all.

Welcome! Sadly, I have to agree with others. At most I would add the GBR if you keep up with water changes. Awesome tank!!!
