    Hey all,

So I am planning on getting a 134g tank (72x24x18) and it will be a planted community. Im having a hard time find fish that I really like that is a little more unique and not too common. Here is the list of the fish I want so far: *not all will be added in one tank

    Praecox rainbowfish
    Congo tetra
    Sterbai corydoras
    Roseline sharks
    Bleeding heart tetras
Synodontis catfish *would they work in a planted tank?

    Fish that are ruled out:

    Rainbowfish besides Praecox

I want something that would school nicely and would put up some color. Any suggestions would be appreciated :)

would you be interested in cichlids , their are some that can do well in a community type set up such as EBA, Keyholes ,Severums ,Rainbow cichlid , Festivums ect..?

Yes! I was thinking about having like a bigger cichlid in the tank. I want something interactive and wouldn't uproot any plants and eat the smaller fish. Rainbow cichlids catch my attention the most than it is the red spot severums.

Instead of Synodontis, how about 5-7 Dianema sp. catfish, like D. urostriatum or D. longibarbis?

Those look amazing. How big do they get and would they eat smaller fish?

No, they're very peaceful and only get like 5 inches.

Awesome :) Would a school of 20 Sterbai corys be too much if I have a few of those catfish?

    No, that'd be fine imo.
