Without knowing the aggression of the rainbow cichlid I think it may be a possibility! I hope you cam figure something out.

Maybe someone else knows about keeping EB acara on its own with a pair of severums. Tbh, this is getting out of my knowledge! Sorry

I wanted to change my 120 gallon tank up to more aggressive bigger cichlids, but stuck with angelfish and rams.

I don't blame you! I still don't know too much about cichlids!

Ok could I have like 10 cichlids total? More? Less?

Most small ones except for the severums

Depending on the cichlid sure 10 could work but they would have to be small. Like 5 Bolivian Rams and 5 bandits. But if you want severums then no. If you want a group of cichlids then that's going to limit you on the number of others. If you want a group like geos then maybe 1 sev and 1 acara is all you can do as far as other cichlids with any degree of confidence it will work

1 Blood Parrot maybe

I wouldn't do a parrot unless you trade out the sev or the acara. Also you need to be specific about which Geo. All geos will not work. I would stick to tapajos or bandits. Bolivian Rams would work as well

Ugh, I don't wanna ask for more stocking lists!! I've already gotten so many!!!!!
Ok do you guys know of cichlids I could have more of? I know Africans are cool, but they are not exactly community fish........

Or in other words, mixed cichlids I could have lots of?

You are asking for something that's difficult with cichlids. Cichlids need territory. They aren't tetras.

Perhaps you would be happier with a mbuna cichlid tank. In a 5 foot tank you could probably do 4 or maybe 5 species and do a bunch of each. These are Africans but with them you would not be able to do anything else other than cichlids as they are far too aggressive for most other fish.

Unfortunately my knowledge of mbuna is limited so I would encourage you to find someone that knows them well

Yes! I love cories! I will probably have a mix of bronze and albino.
As for tetras I do like the bigger ones, any tetras you recommend?

What are lemon tetras? Dont think that I've ever heard of them! As for the Diamond they are kind of like the bleeding heart tetras

Hmm, so should I stick to one region? Or could I combine the ones from Malawi and Tanganyika?
