10G tank --> 30G tank. Help?!

So, long story short.
I have an established 10G tank with my fish friends and recently got a 30G tank.
I started a fishless cycle in the 30G not knowing I could pretty much do a lateral transfer instead of cycling a whole new tank...(now I know!).
But I already added ammonia into the 30G tank to start the fishless cycle. How would I go about cutting this short and transfering my 10G over? Or should I just follow through at this point?

Do you plan to take the 10g filter over to the 30g. How stocked are you atm?

So I guess the other big question is, once I change out all the water is the filter media. I know people said just transfer the media over but the only thing I'm wondering is since the 2 filters differ in size how would that work. What about the media in the bigger filter?

I responded above before I saw this, sorry!
The 30G has a bigger filter, so I'm not sure how I would go about that having 2 different media sizes....
And I'm not sure what you mean by "stocked"... ]:

Just take out the media in the 10 gal and shove it in the new filter with the new media in the new tank. Transfer it all. If you have Only enough fish to stock a 10 gal, then you will have enough bacteria for them.

What I recommend is simply run the new filter and your established filter on your new tank, that way after about a month or so you'll have two established filters incase you needed to setup a quarantine tank.

By stocked, I mean how many fish will initially be in 30.

Wondering if you can just do a big water change, as suggested, move the fish and put both filters on the new tank.

If you move over plants and decor that will help with bb.

I was thinking the same thing but my impatience is getting the better of me right now! ]:

Only 7 fish would be in the 30 initially. 4 tetras and 3 guppies!

Well that's a light load. As long as you test your parameters for a couple of weeks while maintaining water changes, can't see a problem as this stands.

Do an almost 100% water change on the 30 gallon and then move EVERYTHING from the 10 over to the 30. If at all possible run both the 10 gallon filter and the 30 gallon filter on the 30 gallon tank. You can remove the 10 gallon filter after about a month because by then the 30 gallon filter will be well seeded. You will just be moving the cycle from one tank to another.

Assuming that the 30g is empty now apart from water and you are planning to move everything over from the 10g just get rid of the ammonia spiked water, transfer everything (including water) over from the 10g, top up with fresh water to 30g (make sure you use Prime or similar - sorry if it's obvious but I'd kick myself if I didnt say) and run both filters for a while until the new filter builds up it's bacteria.

Once the new filter is up and running with bacteria you can remove the old one if you want to restart the 10g tank (in which case you already have a filter with bacteria ready to jumpstart the cycle) or leave it in for extra filtration
