I just have some questions about a salt water 10g tank that I might have to try.
    1. How expensive should it be to have and maintain.
    2. What stock could you have on a 10g
    3. Do you need live coral.
    4. Could I use a filter that is meant for fresh.
    5. Is there anything a begginer saltwater person should know.
    Thanks!

Most filters support salt water also but for 10 gallons I would go with a extremely small stock maybe 2-3 small fish and a cleanup crew like a few snails a hermit crab. But coral and live rock will complete the ecosystem and give the cleanup crew something to do and take care of and maybe throw a few plants in.

But my suggestion for a starter would be just start low and slowly add stuff over time and make sure it works saltwater tanks can be very expensive. And stocking wise maybe try clown fish? They seem to be big in the hobby.
