100 Gallon Tank Needs Glass Lid

I'm about to buy a 100 gallon aquarium (used) but it doesn't have a lid. It was used to house turtles so I need to know what size glass lid I need to buy? I've been trying to get the seller to give me the exact measurements but all she can give me is the measurements of the two squares on the top. It's like a plastic frame that sits on the tank. The measurements for each square is 16 1/2 x 22 1/4 which equals 16 1/2 x 44 1/2. My problem is I can't find any lids that match that dimension. Am I not measuring this right? Does anyone know where I can find a lid?

It might be a good idea to measure it yourself once you pick it up.

If it's hard to find lids for sale, you could always go the DIY route - either with a mesh screen, egg crate, or glass cut to fit (Lowe's will cut for free if you're in the US).

 

Thanks TexasDomer. The seller mentioned I should measure it when I get there but I was trying to avoid even going and buying it if getting a glass lid is difficult to get. I guess I thought there was just a generic size for a 100 gallon aquarium. The deal is too good to pass on so I just might buy it and deal with the lid once I get it home. My husband won't be happy about it lol. Was curious if they even make glass lids for that sie tank?

 

I'm sure someone makes glass lids for that tank. Google around for Perfecto, Versa, or Oceanic tank (not sure on the last one) lids for a 100 gal tank. What's the tank brand?

Not sure of the brand. I'll text the seller and see if she knows. I'll try to post a pic too to see if that gives tyo an idea.

very similar to 55g. Yes there has to be a lid. I couldn't throw and stone and not hit a tank that looks like that.

 

Got the glass tops. Thanks for everyones help. It's actually a 75 gallon not 100 (seller mislead me) also dealing with some water leaking down the outside of the tank into and under the base. Grrrrr!
