I have the aqueuon 20" hood and light combo it has a T8 full spectrum bulb

Will this be sufficient for low light plants with no co2 or anything

Gravel substrate if it matters

What's the temp of the bulb? Usually 5000-10000 K will grow low light plants, though 6500 K is ideal.

How many watts?

I believe it is 15 watts and 8000k but I will double check when I get home

That should be fine for low light plants.

didn't say on the bulb itself or the box (really stupid imo but what can you do) but the 8000k is the only thing I can find on the internet that fits what I do know T8 and 15Watt and 18"s

You can normally tell by the color of the light. If it's extrnely blue or purple then it's too hot for plants. (The Kelvin scale) it should look like daylight white. That's usually 6500-7500k.

Btw, now days light fixtures are affordable. Especially brands from China. I use them and save money instead of buying Marineland lights for the cost of my arm. U can get a strong LED fixture for plants that'll cost u around $35-$45 from brands like Odyssea. (If your current T8 proves to not work well enough)
