Just started a RCS tank on my computer desk.

I put in a seeded sponge from my aquaclear 110 into this aquaclear mini(20) on my 10 gallon.

I then completely cycled it using a platy from my 75 gallon.
Took about a week and a half but I tested it today and my readings were is 0 0 40. Yay finally cycled!

I just put in 2 female Painted Fire Red Grade Cherry Shrimp, and 1 male Fire Red Grade!

The plan is to breed these guys and have shrimp everywhere!

What do you guys think of my new tank?
    Any suggestions? Comments? 20180718_154123.20180718_154144.20180718_154335.20180718_154419.

Im thinking 1 more plant. Probably some Bacopa Corolina! In my 75 I have baby ones that I might pop into this tank and watch them grow

Thank you all for your feedback!!

I will be adding some java moss soon yes

IMO shrimp are pretty easy to keep alive! Maybe im lucky with my tap water

And honestly im terrible at aquascaping and didnt think i did a real good job lol.. but thank you all!
I do wanna add java moss on that cholla wood tho.. maybe down the road make a small tree in there also.

I just came from from my LFS with 15 Red Cherry Shrimp! This tank is going to look great once I get them in there.. ill post a pic once their in there

So I acclimated them for an hour or so, and just popped them in!
I also took a plant pot base from my 75 gallon and dug it into the rcs tank substrate like a in ground pool, for a feeding area. I say it looks nice!

I think i see a berried shrimp already, and have witness a male and female mating already as soon as I put them in

I put two shrimp pellets in and afew mins later lots of shrimp are already on it!

I love seeing my shrimp everywhere now 20180720_225359.20180720_225407.
