I personally think that it’s too much and as you can see you already have algae growing. Also 12 hours is way too much for your lights to be on. And if your not dosing any type of ferts or Co2 it also is not helping.

When I had my 10 gallon planted I was dosing ferts and Co2 and I have my lights of for only about 6 hours,


Here is what my tank looked liked.....

Thanks for your input. I’ll use my old planted tank light, it still works fine
