    Question Kuhlie Loaches

Figured Kuhli's being loachs meant that they were less concerned with running space then with resting and hiding spaces. They like to stay on flat surfaces and cram into tight spaces and swim kind of erratically. Give them more levels of space to do so.

    Guppy attempting to commit suicide?

Please reread that. PLEASE. While some fish do jump by personality thats just that. They aren't trying to kill themselves. ^ please read this and tell me how it was contradicting? My point is that they are not suicidal. I do not believe that is contradicted. Many species of fish will jump ship...

    Question Kuhlie Loaches

By giving the foot print 3 dimensions instead of 2. Create more flat surfaces at different levels of the tank for the fish to hide in, rest on and so on. More solid surface space then just the bottom of the tank.

    Question Kuhlie Loaches

Depends on the setup. I would do 8 at the most but that still isn't stocked. That's just what would fit the footprint of the tank. You could add some other fish to the mid levels. You simply won't be able to bioload stock a tank with kuhlis in most cases. Back to the setup though, Kuhlis...

    Guppy attempting to commit suicide?

The bottom line is that when it comes to other living creatures, your beliefs need to be on the side bar. They do not apply to the rules of our beliefs. If your belief can lead to the harm of a creature then you are in the wrong. It is ok to believe that the fish are comiting suicide, but you...

small fish for a small tank?

If you want to get into a planted tank Gourami are the way to go. Honey gourami look absolutely amazing in planted tanks, as do pygmy cory. Your could do 3 honeys or even 8 pygmy gourami in a 15gal. If you do 3 of the first or 6 of the second you can also fit in pygmy rasboras. They...

small fish for a small tank?

Really? Because about 90% of female sororities end in the death of all females. So please PLEASE stop advising new keepers to try them. They are not something that should be suggested, If someone desires to try one then fine, but it is up to them to do the research to set one up. They are not...

    Guppy attempting to commit suicide?

When fish act out or are damaging themselves, it's because something is wrong. A fish that jumps a tank is unhappy in the tank and thinks that there is more water on the other side of the glass. They don't know any better. Fish have a most basic instinct "Survive" they don't kill themselves...

    Bubble Nest Action!

It means he wants to breed. Bubble nesting is in no way related to the fish's emotion. It is an essential life skill that all bettas must know and perfect if they wish to breed.

Please help me identify this fish

They may or they may not. They are for sure Pygmy Rasboras. I would get at least 6 in a 10gal and the atleast 10 in anything bigger.

Relatively new 10 G tank with Dwarf Gourami

DG themselves are fine in 10gals, but they are aggressively territorial. The rasboras and cory will both need more numbers and more space to roam. If you upgrade to a 20gal you would be fine to have 6 boras, 6 cory and the DG.

    Only the Balloon Molly's die

No no you're right. Seasalt is more then salt, it has many other nutrients and minerals that the fish need. It is the ONLY way to make brakish and saltwater. Aquarium salt is Table salt. It makes salty water.. It helps some fish but it is not brakish. Only add for what you remove. The...
