55 Gallon Tank Thoughts On This Stocking Plan?

I would only do one male dwarf gourami in the 55 gallon, and if you could get your hands on some females, then you could keep a male with a group of females.

    Reef To Rift.....amazing Store

No problem! Reef to Rift has pretty strict quarantine rules, and generally don't take in fish from people who want to give them away. However, if you want to sell them fish, I would go there and talk to the manager. The staff there are very knowledgeable and understanding, and if you talk with...

    Fake Plants Question

As long as the plants are good quality and don't have jagged edges that could cut fins, they are perfectly fine. Practical fishkeeping did a few articles on incredible setups with fake plants, and they look incredble: How to set up an aquarium with plastic plants

Help Setting Up Pseudomugil Gertrudae 10 Gallon. What Do I Need?

No need to worry about the light- just have some plants on the top of the water (hornwort would work) to help diffuse the light for breeding. The plants you have listed would most certainly work, you could add more but it isn't necessary.

Help Setting Up Pseudomugil Gertrudae 10 Gallon. What Do I Need?

Low light as in a light that isn't as bright or strong. Lighting doesn't really matter much, unless you intend to breed, but low light tanks tend to have much more success than high light, high co2, high fert tanks when it comes to breeding.

Help Setting Up Pseudomugil Gertrudae 10 Gallon. What Do I Need?

I would run the tank low tech- no co2, low lighting, floating plants like duckweed will make them comfortable. Plants like anubias and java fern will do good, hornwort, water sprite, and java moss will help protect any fry. In a 10 gallon I would just keep them as a feature fish, especially if...

Question What Type Of Rasboras Are These

Looks more like a stressed lamchop/espei rasbora, harlequins tend to have wider dark triangular markings and don't have as much of the reddish yellow coloration this fish exhibits.

Funny Does Anyone Here Own Dolphins?

10 gallon minimum for dolphins, but a 5 gallon can work if you do your monthly water changes. I would move them to a larger setup.

Funny Does Anyone Here Own Dolphins?

Of course! I used them to cycle my 10 gallon, but I am moving them to a 29 so they have more space. (I know it's unnecessary, I'm just such a good owner I decided to upgrade them to a 29 gallon so they live out a happy life)

Can You Heat A Small Tank?

The temp should gradually raise as the heater increases the water temperature, your betta should be fine.

    75 Gallon Tank 75 Ideas

A cool display would be a severum or a pair of severums, with a group of 6 roseline sharks and a large school of larger disk bodied tetras. On the bottom a group of 10 corydoras aenus and a rainbow shark could work as long as you have decent filtration.

    Help No Eye Fish

When a fish has an infection, I like to do 25% water changes daily. However, it seems your fish's eye is healed up already, and thus you can just care for it as you would any other black neon.

    Help No Eye Fish

Is it a fresh wound (which would indicate recent injury from something at the store) or does it seem like it happened a while ago? If recent, then do frequent water changes in order to prevent infection. If the fish seems to have been missing an eye for a while, just keep the fish as you...

I am not aware of my GH currently, but I have never had problems with mollies and other livebearers before.

    Mollies Swimming Strangely?

The betta was added a day after they started swimming oddly, it will be removed in a day as it was just temporary over Thanksgiving break. The betta has kids been keeping to itself.

    Mollies Swimming Strangely?

I have a fully cycled 55 gallon tank with no ammonia, no nitrite, and 10 ppm nitrate. The tank has a ph of 8.2 and is 78 degrees. Filtration is 2 marineland penguin biowheel 350s. Currently there is 3 mollies and a betta that I am temporarily housing. All 3 of the mollies aren’t eating and are...

    Question Favourite Cycling Fish?

I never did in fish cycles, but the first fish I would add a trio of mollies as the first fish in my tank to make sure it is safe for others. I have cycled these black mollies through tons of tanks by now.
