Cool, the tank is cycled and I want to get something back in there to make waste so the cycle doesn't collapse. My local Petco has delivered some pretty good fish and snails so far, so I think I'll get my Rabbit or Chopstick from there. Thanks for the help!
Hello, I have a 5.5g tank. I had one Mystery Snail in there before, but it's moved to a new tank. I'm wondering if a single Rabbit or Chopstick Snail could live in that size tank for its whole life. Thanks for the help!
I read that too. It just seemed a little odd that they would stay so small, but I was just curious. Mine have grown pretty steadily since I got them, but I think they've plateaued a bit recently. I hope they stay close to the sizes they are now. Thanks for the help!
Hello, I have three Gold Dojo Loaches and they're all 6 inches or smaller, not by much, though. I also have two brown Dojo Loaches and they're both 7-9 inches long. I'm wondering if the size differences is because of age (I hot the Gold Dojos when they were super little) and the Golds will grow...
Well, the guy at the LFS told me wrong, then. It's not a big deal. He gets along well with the young BN in there with him, and they're in a 55g, so I don't forsee any problems between them. Thanks for letting me know, I'll have to call him by something else other than Milady, lol.
Hello, I have a 5.5g tank with one Mystery Snail in it. The Snail is all that's going to live there. I'm looking into redoing the tank, as it's a bit of a mess rn. I know I'm going to replace the sand with some planted substrate, but should I only do the planted substrate or layer sand on top of...
When I started the tank, I wasn't planning on adding Corys. The bottom layer of gravel is a planted substrate and the top is plain stuff. I may take out the top layer of gravel and put a 20lb bag of sand over the planted substrate instead. I did that in my 55g and it's worked really well. If I...
Alright, The tank is cycled and is about 5 and a half months old. I had a few Neons in another tank, but I've since moved them to the 75g, so I'll keep an eye on them. Can I have 45 of them? Or would that be too much?
If I run these filters:
1 Marineland Penguin 375 (for 75 gallons)
2 Penn-Plax Cascade 1500 (for 200 gallons)
And if I do 50% water changes weekly, then could I have this stocking?
5 Dojo Loaches
15 Emerald Corys
45 Neon Tetras
Hello, I have a 20g long that is going to have 4 male Honey Gouramis in it. I'm curious which species of Cory would be best for the tank with this stocking. Panda Corys or Pygmy Corys? I'd like to do a group of 16. I'm leaning towards Pygmy Corys, but I love the appearance of Panda Corys, so...
