So it's been another couple of weeks, and the tank is looking really good!
I added quite a few fish today, so I need to keep an eye on parameters to make sure I don't get any spikes.
Stocking is now:
3 Platies (3f - panda, bumblebee, red wagtail)
3 Guppies (1m2f)
6 Otocinclus Catfish
yeah, it's the predrilled base.
My lights have just turned off for the night, but I'll get a picture in the morning.
Does it matter if the pipe is narrow compared to the output piping? Will there be any problems with pressure do you reckon?
So, I'm sure other people have adapted their filter output on the the fluval 306, but for some background. I have the Fluval Roma 240 (2016 version), which has a fluval 306 external filter where the input/output comes up through the bottom of the tank.
I'd like to change the output to a spray...
The only issue I see with it is the numbers in the schools, I think minimum recommended for both catfish (I’m assuming corydoras?) and rasbora are 5 or 6.
I’m not sure a 10g is ideal for them, but doable potentially?
I’m sure someone else will come along and correct me :P
Thanks, hopefully it'll work out better this time. My plan is to be a bit more patient, get the plants established and the red cherry shrimp so there's a good colony in there. Then I'll add the galaxy rasbora and finally the betta.
Easier said than done, because I'm typically impatient when it...
Ah I see what you mean. That’s what I’m thinking as well. It’s not like he arrived healthy and active and went downhill, he was lethargic and uncoordinated from the start.
Serves me right for ordering him online I guess
This is the thing though, I don’t know what I did wrong last time. Unless it was simply my choice of betta
I think I’ll go for a plakat next time. They just appeal to me more now than the long finned once. And, as you said, less of a concern surrounding fin rot.
I’m also hoping a plakat would...
