Thank you for such an in-depth answer, so currently there are no coral or nems.. I do plan on adding some once they transition into my main tank (currently cycling, I'll add pics of both but its about 5ft long 2ft wide)
Now as far as number goes, will they he okay in this large tank, or are you...
So heres my stock:
2x mocha clowns
1x darwin clown(?) (Black and white no orange)
1x black bicolor blenny
1x fire fish goby
Okay so all was well, until I added the darwin.. she is quite large possibly full size and also most likely already female..
Before I added (her?) the fish seemed pretty...
Okay.. so may be nothing, but these look like tiny barnacles, nothing really seems off, fish seem happy.. except the snail I see these on seems to be dying? Not moving much, if at all. Now I notice them on my rock?
So I got an ehiem heater.. but it is long, I can technically fit it in the return part of my sump, but it will be pretty tight, is there any reason I shouldn't do this? Would it be better for me to find a different heater, or is that okay?
So I currently have a 55g DT, but am about to inherit a bignose unicorn tang. It is about 6in long.
I have read on liveaquaria that they should have a 350g DT... Does that sound correct?
I priced out enough acrylic ($700-800) to build a tank that size should I need to, but it just seems a bit...
I think you may be right, its all so confusing.. the lfs sold it as a "black blenny" but I have heard of bi-colors turning black.. but seeing as how I've watched him nip at a flipped snail AND eat brine.
That is kind of what I was wondering.. I have noticed he picked the snail shells clean of algae.. and he has algae to eat in the tank.. plus I have added hikari algae tabs to the tank, what else should I do?
